I’m juggling many things right now — a couple of items off to photographers for product shots, a list a mile long for new items, open orders to fill and upcoming Friday DeStash items. It has me incredibly busy and it’s a balancing act to keep up with all of it. I would love to completely immerse myself in creating new items but (obviously) filling shop orders is what pays the fabric bills. So I’m trying to continuously work in a new item after I fill a couple of orders. Right now it’s working but my new item list doesn’t seem to be shrinking at all.
This is one of my new creations.
I’ve had fantastic luck selling the Girls Petti Ruffle Rompers, using the pre-made Ruffle Fabric. But I wanted to introduce something similar in style that was still really different from the things available on Etsy. This romper has a knit base (super soft, lightweight, t-shirt material) with layers of ruffled designer cotton and fun powermesh (kind of like tulle but softer and stretchy), accented with lace halter ties.
I love, love, love how it turned out! I’m going to do another one in a softer color palette with designer cottons and lace instead — then both are off to one of my wonderful photographers.
