Saturday Pattern Sharing 3/31/12

I’ve had this tutorial bookmarked on my computer for almost a year now; I even have a beautiful vintage sheet purchased JUST for this project.  But alas, the sheet has sat, unopened in it’s plastic protective package since sometime last May.  Perhaps one of these days I’ll find time to squeeze it into the schedule.  Maybe you’ll even see it as a listing in the Stitch To Stitch shop.  😉

This super cute, vintage-inspired bodice tutorial is courtesy of Lindsay over at The Cottage Home!

The EtsyKids Team

I’m part of a couple of teams on Etsy, one of which is the EtsyKids Team.

So if you’re looking for great kids’ stuff on Etsy, take a minute to see what other Team members have to offer!  You can check out the team blog for great tutorials, the EtsyKids Shopping Guide or use this direct link to an Etsy search for Team member listings.

Dog Days

This is so incredibly far away from being sewing related, but it was really too fun not to share!

Apparently our one dog has also become weary of my photo-taking.  (The other one just leaves the room when the camera comes out.)

Dakota is our “first” baby; it’s hard to believe he’s been with us for almost nine years now!  Life has certainly changed since we first brought him home and some days I’m not sure he appreciates the extra chaos.  The youngest one in the house has recently taken to flopping herself on top of him in an adorable attempt to wrestle.  In response, he spends much more time up out of her reach in the recliner in the living room.  He’s in trouble when she gets big enough to climb into the chair with him.

Saturday Pattern Sharing 3/24/12

Today’s pattern is a no-sew, scrap-busting, easy to put together piece that would be perfect for your little man to wear on Easter Sunday!  Or any day of the week if he’s so inclined.  😉

I don’t think my girls would wear these, nor would my 35-year old husband.  Maybe I could convince one of my dogs to model for me.  Yeah, you’re right, probably not.  It certainly makes me wish there was a little boy I could make some for!

Anyway…today’s super cute Pattern Sharing is this little man bow tie tutorial by Lindsey over at the The Pleated Poppy.  Thanks, Lindsey for such a cute tutorial!

Chaos in the Studio

It’s been a crazy week around here!  My husband is out of town for the week, which always seems to complicate things.  But when combined with numerous appointments, visit with friends, a poorly-napping toddler and more than a handful of open shop orders I feel like the week has flown by in a whirlwind.

One of my highest priority items this week was finishing these super cute baby blankets for a neighbor. She’s hoping that baby makes an appearance at any time so I knew they needed to be done immediately.

I am really please with how they turned out — hopefully she feels the same way!

This isn’t the only cuteness to come out of the studio this week. I’ll have some more sneak peaks to show in a little bit.  And don’t forget to watch tomorrow for another fun Friday DeStash!
